Why are people so rude to debt collector’s? I am one and I am so tired of being mistreated. We are under paid and then have to deal with the most ungrateful, and disrespectful people. We aren’t customer service. Don’t get mad at us because YOU owe.

I get mad at you because I didn’t owe, and you people fucking harassed me for months. I don’t care how much or how little you are paid. The behavior in question is unconscionable.
You know what else? This is not the only time that I have been repeatedly harassed by wrong number debt collectors. You people just don’t care and don’t do your research.
You want to know why? Several years ago, some debt collection agency started calling me asking for someone I had never heard of. Repeatedly, at all hours of day and night. More than once, my answer was that I did not know who she was. Finally, I called them once and navigated through their phone tree and told them that they were calling the wrong person. After I did that, they called me again, and they lied, claiming that they spoke to her and she called from my number. I matched dates and times (I kept written records) and they were referring to the time I called them! The assholes woke me up at 3 AM!
